Baby Virginia was awake and so alert during the first part of her newborn session, then she gave me lots of sleepy smiles for the second part of the session!

9 Month Milestone, In home Family Session, Darien, CT

Nine months is such a fun age to capture! The crawling, standing, smiling stages are so fun! We combined a milestone session with updated family photos for a fun, in home, session in Darien, CT.

Before the session I visited their home to find areas with natural light to capture Tyler’s nine month milestone. Together we were able to plan the session, mom selected adorable outfits for her boys!

These sweet brothers had so much love for each other. I loved watching them interact. During most sessions I love to capture a combination of “posed” shots and lifestyle images. The combination of both brings such special memories for years to come.

This newborn session was on a dreary spring morning, but the adorable nursery, gorgeous baby and loving parents made more a perfect session!

I was so excited when my dear friend reached out to gift this newborn session. I think the best gift you can give someone is photos. We spend so much on gear and baby clothes, and soon our babies will grow right out of it. Photos are a gift that truly lasts a lifetime. For this in home newborn session in Darien, CT, we did pictures in the living room and the nursery! The nursery had nice warm tones and colors.

Baby Wade has the most amazing head of hair! He reminded me of my middle, Morgan.

I met this adorable family on a freezing, frosty morning for their Fall photos. I was excited to hear they are expecting and scheduled a maternity and newborn session.

This in home, newborn session was extra special because it is my friend and her beautiful family! I love when I get to photograph friends and family!

I met this sweet family when they had their baby boy, Ryan. Since then we have had several family sessions together. I love watching these sweet little ones grow. I was so excited to be able to capture their new baby, Natalie. She was wide awake for much of the session. Natalie got so much love an affection from her big brother and big sister!

During these cold winter months I love in home newborn sessions. You and your little ones can stay in the comfort of your cozy home, no need to bundle anyone and go outside! My oldest was a January baby and I loved just staying in and cuddling her during that first winter!

I am excited to share this in home newborn session in Darien, CT. After mom reached out we quickly connected over the phone to plan our session. We discussed images she was hoping for, told me more about her family and her home. I shared my thoughts and ideas and together we created a plan for our session. We choose a day and time that worked for her family and worked with the natural light in their beautiful home. With newborn sessions, baby and siblings always come first.
